CAST Highlight Release – AI Acceleration insights | June 2026

We are thrilled to announce the launch of AI Acceleration Insights in CAST Highlight, a powerful new set of indicators – AI Opportunity and Agentic Readiness – that gives technology leaders an objective, automated, and evidence-based view of their portfolio’s AI potential and agentic readiness.

By analyzing application portfolios at the code level, CAST Highlight can deliver what no strategy consultant or AI vendor can: a scalable, automated assessment of AI opportunity and Agentic Readiness across hundreds or thousands of applications, backed by hard evidence from the source code itself

AI Opportunity

AI Opportunity helps customers stop guessing where AI will deliver value. The Portfolio Advisor combines each application’s AI Opportunity and Business Impact scores to automatically segment the portfolio into four categories (Strategic Priorities, Quick Wins, Deferred, and Deprioritized) producing an immediately actionable investment map without workshops or spreadsheets.

Each score is driven by automated analysis of more than 20 deterministic code patterns (Java, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python), complemented by a short contextual survey. Detected patterns are automatically translated into AI service recommendations across AWS, Anthropic, OpenAI, and more

Agentic Readiness

Agentic Readiness tells customers which applications could support autonomous agents today, and what it takes to get the others there. The same four-quadrant Portfolio Advisor gives technology leaders a sequenced, fact-based deployment roadmap, with high-impact, agent-ready applications surfaced immediately as Strategic Priorities.

At the application level, scores span 7 key categories (APIs, Architecture, Security, Observability, Data, AI/ML, Infrastructure, and CI/CD), evaluated across 43 criteria, the majority through automated code pattern analysis, making it fully scalable across portfolios of any size.
